Dr John E Norris

B.V.Sc. (Hons)., B.Agr.Sc., M.A.C.V.Sc., C.M.A.V.A.., C.Dec.

John was born in Albury NSW and grew up in southern Victoria. He graduated with La Trobe University with Bachelor of Agriculture 1980, Sydney University with Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) 1987, Member of Australian College of Veterinary Science in Feline Medicine (1992), Chartered Member of the AVA since 2008. Clinical workplaces included Kessels Road Veterinary Hospital and Creek Road Cat Surgery.

Since 1991 he was worked in partnership with his wife Christine Prendergast at Killarney Veterinary Surgery. In 2003 they established Jacobs Well Veterinary Surgery.

Johns interests include cat medicine and dog reproduction, with canine dystokia being of special interest.


Dr Christine A Prendergast

B.V.Sc., M.Agr.Sc., B.App.Sc. (R.T.)

Christine was born in Melbourne and grew up around South East Queensland. She attended Gatton Agricultural College and obtained Bachelor of Applied Science (Rural Technology), 1977, Sydney University with Master of Agricultural Science 1986, University of Queensland with Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1990.

Christine worked at Killarney Veterinary Surgery from 1991. In 2003 she established Jacobs Well Veterinary Surgery with her husband John Norris.

She is the practice manager and the force behind the scenes.
